We met Ginger as a kitten 6 years ago at the ASPCA in Manhattan. She wanted to get out of there bad so we took her home. Initially she was a little nervous but quickly decided our apartment was her little fiefdom. She tolerates visitors but my wife and I are clearly her family. Ginger is very social but not super cuddly: she enjoys being around and near people (as long as not too many) but does not enjoy being handled. We recently had a baby and it's become difficult caring for Ginger.... (read more) She has feline hyperesthesia and needs to have medicine administered twice a day on a schedule. Ginger hasn't been thrilled about the new family addition and we don't have much help for the baby so chasing her to take her medication and prevent a relapse has become increasingly stressful. We are looking for a loving home for Ginger where administering her medication will be more manageable. Also ideally that home will be a little less chaotic than ours with a new baby.
